How it all Began

2020 has been an interesting year that unfortunately has resulted in many losing or having a decrease it income.

When I was at  the Rimbey Thanksgiving Farmers Market, I was chatting with vendor from Red Deer there. She was very interested in any and every market she could get into.

​

It was at that moment that the inspiration for an Online Christmas Market started to form, knowing that I needed to do something and help people out in a new way this Christmas Season.

​

Many people rely on the extra income that they earn from Christmas Markets to help them out financially during the Holiday Season. This year that is not happening as most Christmas Markets are not running, due to restrictions.

I have organized a couple online Wellness Shows that were great and decided an Online Christmas Market, could help. I wanted to provide one central place that people who are looking to buy local and directly from people could find them, all from the comfort of their home. At the same time providing people with products and services to have a place to share what it is they do or sell.

The Intention of this Online Christmas Market is to connect buyers and sellers, help  people looking for a way to buy local this season find it in 1 central location and provide a place for people to sell their wares.

​

I recently read that the best way to boost the economy is to buy from small businesses, local people, homebased businesses, artisans, crafters, bakers and farmers. This is what I intent to help happen.
